Dear Alumni/ae and Parents,
Hobart and William Smith Colleges are inviting you to take part in our success! The Salisbury Center for Career Services has undertaken a crucial project to help ensure the successful futures of our graduates. This project is known as the HWS Career Network and we need your help.
The Career Network is a vital database that helps ensure the success of our students seeking internships and jobs. It is a means for alums to volunteer to talk to students about their career paths, provide networking opportunities within their field, possibly mentor an upperclassman, refer students to hiring personnel within their organization, and perhaps provide an internship or entry-level job to a Hobart or William Smith candidate.
The Career Network is a project that gained significant momentum last year when our office literally doubled the number of alumni/age volunteers to approximately 3,000 members. We still have a long way to go, however, in being able to meet every student’s needs and interests. We need your help! Please take a moment to complete and return the enclosed Career Network registration form or go to http://www.hws.edu/careernetwork to quickly register online. You control how and when you’d prefer to be contacted, as well as what topics you’re willing and able to discuss with students.
We hope that you’ll remember back to your first post-collegiate job search and how grateful you were for any assistance that helped you land your first “real job”. Now you are in a position to lend that helping hand to the next generation of Hobart and William Smith graduates. Please become part of the legacy and make a difference. Join the Career Network today.
