Hobart and William Smith Colleges offer three summer programs for current and non-matriculated students to take courses for full academic credit. The Maymester and Summer Session programs are designed for current students, nonmatriculated college students, and others interested in taking a college credit for academic, professional, or personal reasons. The programs provide an opportunity for students to further their education experience with an HWS faculty member; to get ahead or back on track with graduation plans; and to address curricular requirements at HWS or at other institutions of higher education.

Maymester

The Maymester program runs from May 16 to June 5, 2018. Students take one course with an HWS faculty member for 3.5 hours, five days a week, over the three-week program. Classes are scheduled in the mornings, with afternoons and evenings for class preparation, projects, and assignments. Maymester courses are posted in early January. Current students can register online beginning in February. Non-matriculated students may register for courses by contacting the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs at oafa@hws.edu or 315-781-3304. The tuition for courses is $3,000. Room and board are extra, and campus housing and facilities will be available.
