At a small, residential, liberal arts college, students are the center of the living and learning community. At HWS, we care deeply about the members of our community and those who will join us in the future.
While not required for admission consideration, we strongly recommend a personal interview. It is an opportunity for you to present your academic and personal strengths and goals while learning more about the HWS experience. If you are applying for our Trustee Scholars Program, a personal interview is required.
Interviews are available starting May 1 for high school juniors and interviews during the senior year must take place before the end of January. For those where distance or timing makes it impossible to visit campus for a personal interview, often we can arrange for an HWS alumnus or alumna in your local area to meet with you for a personal interview. These appointments must be made well in advance. Personal interviews are available Monday through Friday and on most Saturdays during the academic year.
