Alums return home to Geneva for Reunion 2009

Alumni and alumnae march toward the Quad during the
all-classes Reunion Parade.
There are very few places in this world where people from Florida, California, Germany and everywhere in between can gather together to reminisce about shared experiences and memories. The Quad was one such magical place during Reunion Weekend 2009. This year included special celebrations for Classes ending in 4s and 9s and marked the second triennial 50th PLUS Reunion, which welcomed back all alums who've already celebrated their 50th Reunion. The young-at-heart Reunioners arrived a day early, on Thursday, giving them extra time to reminisce and reconnect with old friends.
"I came back for the first 50th PLUS Reunion," said Nancy Stone Wilson '50, P'74. "We worked really hard to get people back last time, but now it's easy to convince alums to return. We enjoy catching up with everyone here."

While the 50th PLUS alums enjoyed special events, like a cocktail hour at the President's Home and a 50th PLUS Ball under the stars, the campus was abuzz with activity and exciting events for HWS community members of all ages.
From taking classes to climbing the steps to the top of St. Mark's Tower, and from wine-tasting on the Quad to touring historical buildings, there were countless fun and exciting new adventures and old remembrances to experience.
"I have a bunch of friends who always ask me how the Reunions are," said Eric Hall Anderson '59, who was given a Lifetime Service Award (see story page 16).
"Every time I say, 'This one was the best,' and they say, 'You said that last year.' This Reunion however, really outdid every other. It was excellent, absolutely excellent."
