At HWS, every gift matters and gifts made to the Annual Fund have the most immediate impact on students. Annual gifts support the Colleges’ budget where funds are most needed and donors are given the opportunity to designate their gifts in several areas.
Composed of gifts made by parents of both current and graduate students, the Parents Fund helps Hobart and William Smith provide our students with the means to succeed as well as access to research and internship opportunities.
The reunion class gift consists of three parts: participation, the class gift and a single year achievement. In the few years leading up to a milestone reunion, each alumni and alumnae class sets fundraising goals and works with their classmates to achieve them.
By coordinating ongoing relationships with a selected group of foundations, government agencies and corporate funders, the Office of Grants supports faculty research by identifying and helping obtain revenue from external organizations.

How can I support the Campaign for the Colleges with a planned gift?
Planned gifts such as charitable annuities, pooled income funds, real estate or documented bequests will count towards the goals of the Campaign, at full face value, if the donor is at least 70 years old.
At HWS there are many ways for donors to leave their mark on the Colleges.
Whether it is capital projects, scholarships, endowments or athletics, donors have the opportunity to place their name, or the name of a loved one, on a facet of the campus that has special meaning to them.
