On Tuesday, Feb. 12, Russ Brownback '87, Former Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at BlackRock, will join the Salisbury Center for Career Services and Professional Development for a Professional's in Residence talk on finance at 7:30 p.m. in Gulick Hall 100.
The following day, Wednesday, Feb. 13, Brownback will offer one-on-one sessions from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Trinity 109 by appointment only. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an individual session.
A former managing director of BlackRock and Lehman Brothers, Russ Brownback was one of six founding partners of R3 Capital, a $2.2 billion multi-strategy hedge fund that merged with BlackRock in 2009. His 23 years of expertise in economic policy and financial market interface has made him an advisor to numerous Wall Street senior executives as well as officials sitting on the Federal Reserve and US Treasury. Presently, Brownback owns and operates a real estate holding company which encompasses investments in a variety of commercial real estate properties. He earned a B.A. in economics from Hobart College and a master’s degree in finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Brownback is married to Elisabeth Heins ’88 and has four boys.
