Hobart and William Smith Colleges are very excited to announce our newest summer camp, Leadership Academy, for teens in 8th through 10th grades!
The mission of the Leadership Academy is to provide a camp that will maintain the academic growth obtained throughout the school year and create a learning environment that challenges teenagers to excel in areas beyond their core studies through hands-on activities in topics that exceed those which teachers can provide during the regular school year. The camp also offers a leadership and service learning element that will place teenagers in decision-making roles during the summer. At summer's end, the goal is to have the experience extend to the camper's life in the community and in school.
Programming for the Leadership Academy will include: SAT preparation, career exploration, resume writing, counselor-in-training, poetry, literature, math challenges, correspondence writing, service learning and community awareness.
