Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track Position

The Department of Psychology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Personality Psychology to begin Fall 2014. The position is at the Assistant Professor level but extraordinary candidates at the Associate level may be considered. We seek to hire a skilled and dedicated teacher-scholar who can teach core and laboratory courses in Personality Psychology, an advanced seminar in an area of specialty, and one additional course from among the following: Introductory Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods, or a General Education course. All areas of specialization in Personality Psychology will be considered; applications from individuals who address issues of ethnic diversity in their teaching or research, are interested in contributing to the Colleges' interdisciplinary programs, and can serve as role models for students from diverse ethnic backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
The candidates must have completed the Ph.D. by the time of hire. Candidates must be committed to teaching and developing an active research program in a small, residential, liberal arts institution.
