Pathways, a declared substance-free group, is for students dedicated to developing their professional careers. Lifelong Scholars theme house members will provide a pleasant, supportive atmosphere for students preparing for graduate studies.
The building, also known as Carr McGuire House, is home to 12 students and was completely renovated in 2007. The renovation was made possible by Trustee Carolyn Carr McGuire '78 and her husband, former Sigma Chi member, Terry McGuire '78.
A guest suite was added during the renovation. Based on Harvard's model of having visiting scholars and dignitaries live with the students and be part of the community, the guest suite will host visitors from the Professionals in Residence program of the Salisbury Center for Career Services. Speakers will come to campus to talk with students about a particular career field in the evening and will then meet with students again the next day.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for both themes and are required to take the Strong and MBTI personal assessments with Career Services.
