Located on the Hill, Hirshson Hall is home to 78 William Smith students. First-year students are housed in doubles and triples and upperclass women live in single and double bedrooms. All rooms are equipped with full telephone, cable and computer/Internet access.

The residence has a large bathroom on each floor, a study room, vending machines and laundry facilities.

Hirshson House also has a full ballroom on the first floor that is often used by groups for meetings The Hirshson Ballroom is very popular because of its hardwood floors and classic style furniture. This residence hall has large walk-in closets in each of its rooms. Students wishing to reserve the ballroom can do so through the Office of Residential Education.

Hirshson Hall opened in 1962 and was named after the Reverend Louis Melbourne Hirshson, who served as president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 1956 to 1966.
