REES HALL

Rees

JPR, a residence complex made up of Jackson, Potter and Rees halls, was built in 1966. Rees Hall houses 91 students first-year and upper class Hobart and William Smith students.

First-year students are housed in double rooms, while upper class students live in single and double rooms. All rooms are equipped with full telephone, cable, and computer/Internet access.

The building was completely renovated in 2005 to include quad living spaces (two double bed rooms connected by a common living room) and the construction of open lounge spaces and lounges on every floor.

Named for Major James Rees, an early settler and landowner in Geneva and an acquaintance of George Washington, Rees Hall has bathrooms and lounges on each floor. A large lounge and game room is available on the first floor of Rees Hall.
