Advice for first year students: You may come to HWS with a good understanding of what you want to study and pursue. Advice for first year students: Your grades and managing your work are really important, but don't forget to live in the moment. Say 'yes' to going down to the lake with a few people from your FSEM or ask the girl who complimented your shoes to grab lunch at Saga. Join a club that sparks your interest--even if you don't know anyone in it. Ask the person on your floor, who you met in the bathroom, to go to the Involvement Expo with you. Everyone is in the same boat that you are. If you put yourself out there, there is a good chance that you will make some of the best memories.
