The HWS Equestrian competes in the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) in Zone 2 Region 1. We compete against schools such as Cornell University, Alfred University, and Nazareth College which all have varsity equestrian teams. We have found our club team is very competitive with these schools. We have sent many riders to regionals and zones to compete against schools in other states. A goal for this coming competition year is to send riders to nationals where they will compete against schools from the across the United States.
Mission Statement: The HWS Equestrian team sets out to provide a fun, safe, and competitive riding environment for those who want to compete in the IHSA. We share the common love of horses and respect for the tradition of the equestrian sport.
