Aileen Gleason '85
Managing Director of Global Wealth Management, Bank of America
A leader in the world of banking and wealth management, Aileen Gleason ’85 began her career in financial services just days after graduation. From supporting a sales team as an administrative assistant at Chase Manhattan, she rose through the ranks of global transaction services at prestigious financial institutions before transitioning into the wealth management sector.
Today, as managing director of global wealth management at Bank of America, Gleason oversees a product management group, which develops, prices and positions products for financial advisers to leverage as solutions for their clients’ financial needs. She also manages a field engagement group, which educates Advisors about the bank’s products, solutions and digital capabilities. Day to day, she actively responds to trends and changes in the marketplace, manages risks and develops long term strategies for the banking solutions for wealth management clients.
Previously, Gleason managed the Global Transaction Services Payments and Receivables product management group, supporting multi-national corporate clients’ needs world-wide for the Global Bank and Markets Division.
Gleason graduated with a B.A in economics. As a student, she was a member of the Student Economic Committee and was elected into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor Society. She was the captain and MVP of the William Smith lacrosse team in her senior year and spent two semesters off campus: one in Washington, D.C., where she worked for the Federal Reserve, and one in London, England.
A regular speaker and panelist at the Colleges’ annual “Finance Experience” in New York, Gleason has worked closely with the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education as a Professional in Residence and mentor to students. In 2011, she was awarded the HWS Career Services award in recognition of her work with and on behalf of HWS students.
Since 2012, Gleason has served on the HWS Board of Trustees, including as a member of the committees for financial management, governance, presidential search and task force for innovation.
