Belonging, Diversity & Equity
LIVES OF CONSEQUENCE
As a matter of our educational philosophy as a residential, liberal arts institution, we believe that in order for students to thrive, they must feel a sense of belonging in the classroom, residence halls, dining halls, and through their co-curricular experiences. We strive to create a campus where all students, faculty and staff feel valued, respected and empowered to contribute fully.
We believe that diversity in identity, faith traditions, political commitment and perspectives strengthens our community, enhances learning and prepares us to lead lives of consequence. By embracing and celebrating our differences, we cultivate a culture of belonging that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking and meaningful engagement with the world around us.
