What were some of the opportunities you took advantage of while at HWS on campus?
My senior year, I served as Co-President of Kinetic Dance Collective and I was always involved in the organizing of performances sponsored by the Dance Department. In these roles, I gained effective communication and management skills learning the ins and outs of dance production that I hope will serve me in my future career working in a dance department. Hobart and William Smith cultivated an environment for me to shine as a leader and taught me to take initiative.

How did HWS prepare you for your current role and/or your future?
As a current graduate student, I am so thankful for the education I received at HWS. In my graduate program, I engage in a significant amount of independent artistic and academic research that I succeed in thanks to the faculty in both the Dance and History departments. Those faculty pushed me to think critically and analytically. HWS allowed me to have an interdisciplinary education that has given me a unique perspective, launching my thesis work that investigates ways to rethink how dance history is taught.
