My HWS experience has had a profound influence on my career path and pursuit of life passions. I credit the Colleges’ coordinate system for helping me develop the leadership skills that I rely on today. I was fortunate to participate in the Washington, D.C. Public Policy program with Professor Emeritus of Political Science Joseph DiGangi and Interim President Patrick A. McGuire L.H.D.’12. That program was the catalyst for my fascination with and participation in local and national politics. As a student athletic trainer, I was able to observe firsthand the hard work and determination of the William Smith coaches and student athletes. I always make the Heron Society a significant part of my annual gift to the Colleges. I know that giving back to an institution that has given me so much will pay it forward for current and future HWS students.
