10 January 2024 Morgan ’21, MSM ’22 at Thrill One Sports

At the UFC headquarters in Las Vegas, Aidan Morgan ’21, MSM ’22 serves as social media coordinator for Thrill One Sports & Entertainment.

Building on his work and internship experience with the South Carolina Stingrays, Washington Capitals, ESPN Ithaca and Barstool Sports, Aidan Morgan ’21, MSM ’22 recently accepted a position as social media coordinator at Thrill One Sports & Entertainment. The sports content company headquartered in Costa Mesa, Calif., focuses on event production and live sport entertainment.

Morgan's position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he works out of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) headquarters.

“When I got an interview with Thrill One Sports, I instantly knew it was where I wanted to be and the position would be a great place to continue my career,” says Morgan, who earned his B.A. in writing and rhetoric and M.S. in management. He was a member of the HWS Sailing team for four years and served as its assistant coach from 2021-22.

Morgan says working as a social media intern for the South Carolina Stingrays and the Washington Capitals, and as social media manager for Barstool DMV for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia provided him with experience in social media as well as brand growth and marketing campaigns. As a student, he also interned for the ESPN Ithaca radio station 107.1 FM where he produced audio segments and conducted research to increase engagement and web traffic for the station.

“These internships were in really fast-paced environments, especially the Washington Capitals where I did live game coverage and had to get materials turned around quickly for the broadcasters,” says Morgan.

On campus, Morgan says he’s grateful to his advisor Professor of Writing and Rhetoric Cheryl Forbes and HWS Sailing Head Coach Scott Ikle. “They both believed in me to get to where I wanted to be and am today,” Morgan shares.

Morgan earned a minor in media and society.
