19 January 2024 HWS Launches Everbridge Safety Connection
New app streamlines campus safety and access to emergency services.
The HWS Office of Campus Safety is launching the Everbridge app, which offers features to help the campus community stay safe and maintain connections with vital sources of information during critical events.
The app includes several options to enhance safety while on campus.
- “Call Campus Safety” — Users can quickly place an emergency call to Campus Safety.
- “SOS Panic Button” — With a press of a button, users can notify Campus Safety of their location and transmit live audio and video of the surrounding area.
- “Stay Safe and Connected On Campus” — The Everbridge mobile app turns a user’s smartphone into a virtual security guard that provides 24/7 protection while on campus or in the Geneva community.
Students and employees will receive a unique registration link via email at the start of the spring semester. Once users have downloaded Everbridge and created credentials, search “HWS” in the app.
