25 March 2025 Covelli '25 Secures Analyst Position at Bloomberg
A summer internship in New York City paved the way for Grace Covelli ’25 to land a full-time financial product analyst position at Bloomberg L.P.
Last summer, Grace Covelli ’25 spent 10 weeks at Bloomberg’s headquarters, rotating through the analytics and sales departments. Immersed in the fast-paced world of finance, she gained hands-on experience with Bloomberg Terminal functionalities, financial market trends and client engagement strategies—ultimately securing valuable connections that led to a permanent position after graduation.
“Bloomberg’s intensive training program reinforced my appreciation for the company’s commitment to employee development and excellence,” says Covelli, an economics major and sociology minor. “It was incredible to see firsthand how Bloomberg empowers its employees with knowledge and tools to serve a diverse range of clients.”
During the internship, she was also paired with two mentors, in addition to her team leader. “This support system was invaluable,” Covelli says. “It pushed me beyond my comfort zone, helping me grow both personally and professionally.”
By the time the internship concluded in August, Covelli says she knew Bloomberg was where she wanted to begin her career and later received a return offer for a full-time position. “The depth of knowledge I gained in just 10 weeks made me eager to continue growing within the organization,” she says.
Starting in July, Covelli will join Bloomberg’s analytics department at its 731 Lexington Avenue office in Manhattan. She will rotate between the company’s training program and working with a team specializing in a specific asset class. “I am incredibly grateful for the guidance I received from my colleagues and the extensive HWS alumni network,” she says. “I look forward to the next chapter of my career at Bloomberg and the continued learning and growth it will bring.”
Covelli credits Chief Operation Officer of Americas Enterprise Sales Andy Brennan ’09, Enterprise Relationship Manager of Hedge Funds Matthew Fox ’19, Enterprise Sales Team Leader Joseph Gibbons ’14 and Enterprise Account Manager Kelsie Worth ’22 for helping her first through the interview and application process and later during the internship.
On campus, Covelli is a member of the Finance Society, Women in Economics and the UNICEF Club. She also is a senior intern in the Office of Admissions.
