7 July 2020 Campus Opens for In-Person Tours
The Hobart and William Smith campus is once again open for in-person tours. The Office of Admissions welcomes prospective students and families to pre-register for a personal guided tour of campus, scheduled in half-hour intervals to ensure that all health, safety and social distancing protocols are followed.
"We're thrilled to be one of the first colleges to be offering individual in-person tours again," says Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions John Young. "We're taking every precaution to ensure that each visit is safe for families and the HWS community."
Each on-campus visit includes a personal tour with a current HWS student as well as a one-on-one conversation with an admissions counselor. The tours are conducted outdoors and the conversation with the counselor will be as well, if possible. All guests are asked to wear a mask or other facial covering for the entirety of their visit; admissions staff will use face coverings as well.
Virtual engagement options are available for families who prefer stricter social distancing protocols, as well as those traveling from states listed in current New York State guidelines as requiring a quarantine period.
