Trip to the Tropics means a lot to me as it is a rare opportunity to showcase my culture with HWS, says CSA Co-President Shaamar Samuel 19. He is co-president alongside his twin sister Shaahida Samuel 19, and their family is from Grenada.

Samuel says the CSA members wanted to hold the event downtown as way to get the Geneva community involved in the festivities.

We truly hope that when others leave the event they are able to have a better understanding of whatCaribbean culture looks, tastes and feels like, says Samuel. We hope all who participate become more interested in learning about themultiplicityof world culturesthat exist throughoutthe world and even here at HWS and within the Geneva community.

Shuttles will be available starting at 6 p.m.from the Hill, the Medbery lot and JPR. Tickets will be sold until the day of the event during lunch and dinner hours in the Scandling Campus Center.
