Hobart and William Smith faculty members number among the nations best professors in the 2021 editionof The Princeton ReviewsBest 386 Colleges. Ranking ninth in the nation for Professors Get High Marks, the Colleges are also ninth in the nation for study abroad and 15th for impact.

The Colleges profile inBest Colleges, which relies on survey responses from current students, cites small class sizes that make it really easy for professors to know who you are as well as faculty members who work hard to facilitate meaningful discussions and provide thought-provoking and challenging questions, as students reported. HWS faculty are engaging, dynamic and truly interested in fostering the next generation. As one student put it, My professors believe in me, support me, and share their passion in pursuit of me finding my own.

The HWS study abroad program is ninth on the Most Popular Study Abroad list, marking five years in a row that the Colleges have had a top-10 ranked study abroad program.

For the fourth year in a row, the Colleges are on the Professors Get High Marks list, while coming it at 15 for impact, based on student assessments of community service opportunities, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus student engagement.

Hobart and William Smith were also named a Green College and included in Best Value Colleges and Colleges That Create Futures lists.

These recognitions follow several other national accolades, including atop-two ranking for serviceamong liberal arts institutions for three years in a row inWashington Monthlys College Guide and Rankings.HWS rank third among small schools on the Peace Corps 2019 list ofTop Volunteer-Producing Colleges and Universities. In its 2019 rankings ofBest Value Colleges,the Washington, D.C.-based financial and business publisher Kiplinger listed Hobart and William Smith among the nations top colleges and universities.
