The second season of The Handmaids Tale, which was developed under executive producer Warren Littlefield 74, was nominated for 21 Emmys this year, including Outstanding Drama Series and Best Guest Actress in a Drama, which Samira Wiley won for her performance as Moira.
Based on Margaret Atwoods 1985 novel of the same name, the Hulu television shows first season won eight Emmys in 2017, including Outstanding Drama Series, marking the first time a series broadcast on a streaming platform won the award. This years nominations in both Primetime and Creative Arts also include Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Elisabeth Moss and consideration for everything from casting to directing to cinematography.
As president of NBC Entertainment throughout the 1990s, Littlefield was responsible for developing shows such as Will and Grace and Seinfeld, leading the network to win 168 Emmy awards and numerous other industry honors. As principal of the Littlefield Company, he has continued developing award-winning shows like Fargo, which won the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Limited Series.
