- Berkeley Professor of Rhetoric and Gender and Womens Studies Trinh T. Minh-ha delivers the final Fisher Center presentation of the fall semester. The event coincided with a screening and discussion of her 2015 film Forgetting Vietnam.
- Professor of Anthropology and Sociology Jeffery Anderson shares his thoughts on the Dakota Access Pipeline following a screening of Mni Wiconi ~ Water is Life in the Fish Screening Room of the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts. The event constituted this years installment of the Green Tea Connection, a program launched in 2015 by the Office of Intercultural Affairs to link conversations of social justice and environmental sustainability.

- John Camara 19 speaks about his experience as the son of Filipino immigrants during the Immigration: Voices and Identities discussion in the Bartlett Theatre. Panelists included Camara, Director of Intercultural Affairs Alejandra Molina, Nagina Ahmadi 20, Kely Amejecor 18, Sergio Perez 19 and Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Sociology Ervin Kosta. Closing remarks were provided by Alejandra Castillo 20.

- Joseph Escamilla 18 and Evie Manning 17 battle to stay upright while jousting in the Bartlett Theatre as part of Relaxation Week sponsored by the Office of Student Activities.
- Geneva City School District teacher Don Beckers, Cooking Matters Coordinator Eileen Cooley, Meredith Fennell '20, Alexis Bottern '20 and Kaylee Jacob '20 gather for a photo in St. Peters Church on Monday. Launched earlier this year, Cooking Matters is a program that helps teach children about nutrition and cooking.
- Lindsay Brandt 17, Program Coordinator for the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning (CCESL) Shayne Feinberg, CCESL Associate Director Jeremy Wattles and CCESL Director Katie Flowers deliver warm clothes, toys, books, boots and games to more than 80 children in the Geneva area. The gifts were donated by members of the HWS community as part of the Holiday Gift Project.
- Leadership Giving Manager Dulcie Meyer rounds up gifts that will be given to children from Geneva Head Start and Geneva ABCD. This holiday season more than 80 children will receive gifts from HWS employees and students.

- Grant Soucy '17 adds one more gift to the pile as part of the Statesmens present wrapping event to benefit Geneva children.
- Director of Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention Brittany Broderick baked 2,500 dog biscuits that were then sold to members of the HWS community. Proceeds from the sales of these canine culinary creations are donated to Animal Behavior Services in Rochester, N.Y., which rehabilitates dogs for adoption.
- Members of the Hobart tennis team Patrick Dunk 17 and Danny Kot 17 volunteer with The Salvation Army during the holiday season.
- Frank Brown '17 speaks to students about Native American culture after learning the students were in the midst of a Native American history unit. Brown, a member of the Seneca Nation, discussed life on a reservation and the misperceptions and challenges faced by Native Americans today.
- As part of his final Community Empowerment project, Alfred Cam Constants 18 facilitated a kid-friendly workshop on feelings and regulating emotions to the Geneva YMCA After School Program. Constants is a certified Personal Empowerment Student Facilitator, having completed the Personal Empowerment Institute led by Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Education Brandon Barile.
