- Professor of Physics Steven Penn unveils a new scientific breakthrough in gravitational wave astronomy during a special campus event on Monday. Penn is an integral member of the global research team behind the discovery and LIGO which won the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics. The HWS event was held in conjunction with a National Science Foundation press conference.

- Professor of Philosophy Steven Lee discusses privacy in the 21st century as part of his Introduction to Philosophy class in Napier Hall. The forthcoming book Core Concepts and Contemporary Issues in Privacy includes a chapter by Lee titled The Nature and Value of Privacy.
