- Andrew Schrader '21, competing for the Albert Holland Prize for Public Presentations of Physics, presents Archimedes' Principle: What else will float your boat? During the competition students are given 15 minutes to explain a significant principle or application of physics. The Albert Holland Physics Lecture competition and prize were conceived and endowed by Professor Emeritus of Physics Allan M. Russell P'81, P'86.

Elliott ’66 Faculty Innovation Grant. Using the Pleco app, students are able to check Pinyin (the romanization system for Chinese characters), hear how to pronounce words and view the correct stroke order when writing characters.

- Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Darrin Magee speaks about the need for diversified renewable energy sources in Cambodia at the China Environment Forum in Washington, D.C. Magee posits that energy-rich Yunnan could serve as a much-needed power source for Cambodia, where a large rural population doesn't have electricity, and cities often have rolling blackouts.
