- After being announced as the next President of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Dr. Joyce P. Jacobsen welcomes a standing-room-only audience in the L. Thomas Melly ’52 Lobby of the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts. Jacobsen is the first woman to serve as HWS President.

Jacobsen was unanimously and enthusiastically elected to serve as the next president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges by the Board of Trustees.
