- In this special edition of This Week in Photos, we feature images taken before the pandemic that demonstrate some of the reasons why HWS students call this beautiful campus on Seneca Lake home. - The Colleges' curriculum encourages interdisciplinary study across multiple perspectives and experiences. Here, Professor of Art and Architecture Nick Ruth instructs Shelby Johnson '21 during Color and Composition.

- The Summer Research Program enables students to work side-by-side with faculty mentors. Roslyn Patel '20 shares findings from her summer research, Alternative Synthetic Route to 3,4-Dirarylsubstituted Furanones, at the Student Research Symposium. Patel conducted her research alongside Professor of Chemistry Erin Pelkey.
- The sun rises over Seneca Lake and the Bozzuto Boathouse, the most photographed spot on campus.
- The Colleges' top study abroad program emphasizes both pre-departure and re-entry programming. Students engaged in German language studies join Sue Peterson of the Weavers Guild of Rochester as she demonstrates tapestry weaving at Houghton House during the fifth annual German Studies Symposium, titled, Work and Weft Labor, Gender and Art.
- Through the Trias Residency, a celebrated author lives, teaches and writes on campus every year. During an event hosted by the English Department, students read poetry, stories, songs and passages about Love and Anti/Love.
- There are more than 90 student clubs on campus. Nele Keller 22 (center left), Robert Russell 22 and Zerina Makhdoomi 22 chat with members of the Latin American Organization during the Involvement Expo.
- Students hang out in the Intercultural Center, a space dedicated to cross-cultural programming.
- The LGBTQ+ Resource Center actively promotes academic and personal growth for the HWS LGBTQ+ community. Staff, students and faculty gather for a reception at DeCordova Hall.
- The Colleges Chorale is a mixed ensemble comprising the finest student vocal talent on campus. Here, Amelia Smith '21 sings during the Madrigal Dinner in the Vandervort Room.
- The Lunar New Year is one of the most popular annual student celebrations of the year. Held in Bartlett Theatre, the event was hosted by the Asian Student Union.
- The No. 2 William Smith soccer team was edged by No. 1 Messiah 1-0 in the national championship game. Here, Amanda Kesler '22 makes a save. Kesler made five saves over the course of the game.
- HWS Spirit fills the stands at David J Urick Stadium. Here, fans support Hobart lacrosse as they take on Syracuse University.
- Hobart went 4-1 in this springs abbreviated season. Here, Justin Scott '20 scores against Canisius College at the home opener on Stiles Field at the Thomas B. Poole '61 and Family Sports Dome.
