Through the generosity of devoted benefactors, the Collections comprise a range of works from significant and influential artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. - The Old Brick Plant, Watercolor, by Arthur Dove in 1937, Gift of Richard A. Scudamore ’55. Dove was a member of the Hobart class of 1903 before receiving his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. Originally from Geneva where his father owned a brick plant, he painted many of his most influential works while living on Exchange Street.
