Hobart and William Smith Colleges

Dr. Nick Metz is the director of the REU program and organizes REU activities at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. He coordinates the overall activities of the REU program, working closely with faculty mentors, and organizes the efforts on campus lodging and recruiting students. Throughout the REU program, Dr. Metz organizes activities, travel and workshops to advance the professional development of REU research students. He also is a REU research mentor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Dr. Eric Hoffman is the co-director of the REU program and organizes REU activities at Plymouth State University. He helps coordinate the overall activities of the REU program, working closely with faculty mentors, and organizes the efforts on campus lodging and continued engagement with REU students. Throughout the REU program, Dr. Hoffman organizes activities, travel and workshops to advance the professional development of REU research students. He also is a REU research mentor at Plymouth State University.
