Hobart and William Smith Colleges

Debate Scholarships are limited and highly competitive. They are awarded to students who have contributed significantly to debate programs, Model U.N., Mock trial, or other similarly relevant pursuits. Recipients will receive $3,000 and the opportunity to join one of the premier collegiate debate teams in the world. Last year, the Debate Team ranked 17^th overall in the world at the 2024 World University Debating Championship held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

* To access the Edward E. Rigney ’31 Debate Scholarship application, you must have already applied for admission to Hobart and William Smith. The due date for the scholarship application aligns with your admissions deadline (December 1^t for Early Action / Early Decision, March 1^t for Regular Decision).
