Clifford E. Orr has dedicated his life to Hobart and William Smith Colleges. For 42 years he was an administrator at the Colleges, holding the positions of alumni secretary, special assistant to the president for development, and public relations director and retiring as vice-president emeritus. He received numerous awards and citations, including the Central New York College Public Relations Council Special Award for Service to Higher Education and citations for distinguished service from the American Alumni Council and American College Public Relations Association. Following retirement from the Colleges, he served as president of the Association of Episcopal Colleges.
