18 June 2024 Crane ’24 to Join PricewaterhouseCoopers By Zachary Koons
Wil Crane ’24 to work as Transfer Pricing Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.
Following an internship with the company last summer as a transfer pricing intern, Wil Crane ’24 has secured a position with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a transfer pricing associate. In May, Crane graduated cum laude in economics and earned a double minor in data analytics and entrepreneurial studies. Based in New York City, Crane will work for the multinational company preparing and evaluating financial and economic data to ensure compliance with tax and other regulations.
Last summer, Crane worked as a transfer pricing intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers after finding the internship through HWS’ Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education. In the classroom, he says he developed an understanding of the financial world.
“During my time at HWS, both economics and data analytics courses were crucial in leading me to this position,” says Crane. “Specifically, ‘Corporate Finance’ and ‘Math Foundations of Data’ provided me with the skills and knowledge to excel through the internship which helped me land the full-time position.”
He says a family friend who works for PricewaterhouseCoopers sparked his interest in the field and the summer internship confirmed his passion for the industry. From Littleton, Colorado, Crane says he also developed a connection to the HWS alumni in the city, especially with Hobart hockey alums, which helped solidify his decision.
At HWS, Crane was a member of Orange Key honor society; he was a three-year member of the Hobart hockey team that won back-to-back national championships in 2023 and 2024. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime to beat No. 3 Adrian in the 2023 national championship game, securing Hobart hockey’s first national championship in program history.
Through three seasons, Crane made 46 appearances for the Statesmen, recording 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists. He was named to the NEHC All-Academic team in all three seasons and earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament team in 2023.
