LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
HWS supports our employees' growth. Access to in-person and online learning, tuition assistance programs, and individual advising all contribute to our employees' learning and development.
LEARNING
- HWS employees have access to hundreds of online training and professional development courses for learners at any level. With a wide range of topics that include technology, software, leadership, communication and teamwork courses, Infobase enables HWS employees to gain skills and expertise in their chosen areas.
- United Educators provides HWS with risk and compliance trainings, including new employee safety trainings and annual trainings. Additional courses provide employees with opportunities to learn about communication skills, working with college-aged students and more. Current employees should access United Educators using their HWS credentials through the "SAML SSO" login button.
- Lunch and Learns - Each semester, HR coordinates lunch and learn events for employees on a variety of topics.
- Retirement Counseling - Throughout the year, Transamerica representatives offer individual retirement consultations. HR will send employees information on these sessions as they occur.
- Campus Events - HWS employees can attend campus events, lectures, and presentations. Please refer to the events calendar for the full offering of events.
DEVELOPMENT
- HWS offers tuition assistance programs to both employees and, as eligible, qualifying dependents.
- Current employees are able to view and apply to internal job opportunities to help advance their careers at the Colleges.
