THEME HOUSEPROGRAM
Theme Houses are small to mid-sized houses that support the liberal arts mission of the Colleges by offering an immersive opportunity to live and learn in the same place. These houses offer opportunities for students to live with other students with similar interests - whether academically or beyond. These close-knit communities have a high level of co-curricular involvement with events, programs, and dialogues directly related to a department, organization, or clubs on campus.
The Theme House Program is student-driven. There is a student leader, called a House Manager, that helps ensure each Theme House lives by their mission statement. The Theme House options each year are different based on the students’ needs. Theme House proposals are submitted and selected by students. We see some themes come back year after year, while others are brand new and speak to the ever-changing dynamic of our student population.
