Benefit Eligibility
Faculty Members
All fully appointed faculty members (not temporary) in half- and full- time ongoing, tenure-track or tenured positions are eligible to participate in the benefits programs during their term of appointment. The term of appointment includes approved leaves of absences.
All temporarily appointed faculty who teach four or more courses in an academic year are also eligible to participate during their term of appointment. Temporary faculty first appointed to teach in terms prior to July 1, 1996, are benefits-eligible if they teach three or more courses in a given academic year.
Other faculty - certain legally mandated and other benefits will apply to faculty who are otherwise ineligible for the full benefit packaged described here. Contact Human Resources for additional information.
During any unpaid leaves of absences, faculty members are responsible to pay the employee portion of the premium for any benefits they request to be continued for the term of unpaid leaves.
Administrative Employees

Participation in some benefit programs may be limited due to the number of hours worked per week.
All employees who are employed in temporary and grant-funded positions are also eligible to participate in the Colleges' benefits programs, with limitations, only during their term of employment if the assignment term meets the required hours of work.
